    History

Built 1392–1398 by Pere Balaguer as the main gate into the medieval city. Used as a noblemen prison from the 16th–19th centuries, which saved them from the demolition of the rest of the walls.

    What to see

Climb to the upper terrace with views of Carmen and the Turia. The Crida that opens Fallas takes place here every year.

Check opening hours and prices on the official website or Google Maps before your visit.
