    History

    Opened in 1928, one of the largest markets in Europe. Modernist building by Francesc Guàrdia and Alexandre Soler, with a central dome, tiles, stained glass and ironwork of the era.

    Over 1,000 fresh-produce stalls. Don't miss fresh fish, Valencian citrus, ham, spices and the tapas bars to eat at the counter.

    Open Monday to Saturday mornings. Arrive before 1 pm to see it in full swing.
