History
Of guild origin: carpenters used to burn winter waste on St Joseph's day. UNESCO Intangible Heritage since 2016 and Valencia's most important festival.
What to see
Over 700 cardboard monuments in the streets, daily mascletàs at City Hall Square (2 pm), nightly fireworks, traditional dress, flower offering to the Virgin and the final cremà on March 19.
Tips
Book accommodation months in advance. Comfy shoes, earplugs for the mascletà and watch the cremà at a smaller falla to avoid crowds.
